Today after breakfast we are starting with a boat trip to explore Baobolon wetland with a boat cruise t see goliath heron,wooly necked stork,yellow billed stork,african spoon bill,pinked backed pelican,white backed night heron,white breasted commorant,european bee eater,white throat bee eater,fish eagle,brown sunbird,.After the boat trip walk to the hills of tendaba were we going to used a photohide.2pm walk back to the camp for lunch.3.20pm we drive to morgan kunda through senegambia bird to north bank with few stops at our most birding hotspot’
Before breakfast we will explore Jajari woods for targets of Bustards,back to the lodge for breakfast at 9am,after breakfast we set our bags join our car start driving to Bansang River Side Lodge through north bank road with lots of stops at most birding hotspots mainly Njau water hole panchang water wetland,water sand mining with lots of stops at most birding hotspots.
Today after breakfast we drive to Janjanburehfor boat insearch of finfoot,african fish eagle swamp flycatcher,hadada ibis,black headed weaver,straited heron,after boat driver back to the lodge for break lunch.4pm drive to Bansang quarry at the colony of red throated bee eater were we going to comple the rest of the day and then back to lodge
After breakfast set all our bags in the car strt driving to quarry were we going to spend one hour the drive to kunkilling forest follow by jahally ricefield.12.30pm we drive to Kakuba lodge in kudang for a night stop with lunch along.4pm we drive to Kudang wetland were we going to complete the rest of the day and then back to the lodge for our accommodation,
Before breakfast we drive to kudang were we going to spend 2 hours then back to the lodge for breakfast.After breakfast we drive back to the coast with few stop on the way.Night stop at Bamboo garden hotel

15 Days Birding And Photographing Tours The Gambia And Senegal
All lodges and hotels have electricity, proper toilets, bar, restaurants, some swimming pools, WiFi, some of our cars have air conditioning, and most of the accommodations we used have air conditioning.
Arrival to Banjul international airport transfer to Bamboo garden hotel with one of our guide.
Early breakfast at 7am follow by a drive to kotu bridge for whole day with a boat trip in kotu creek. And then back to the hotel check into our rooms prepare for dinner at 8pm. loads of birds are expected.
Early breakfast at 7am follow by a drive to kartong sand mining with a boat trip at Alahin river in the afternoon. Birds expected are water birds, warblers, waders and birds of prey.6pm backed to the hotel.
After breakfast at 7:30am follow by a drive at Tanji bird reserve and a break lunch at 1pm at Brufut woods with our sandwich made by our self. whilst having our lunch we will enjoy birds coming to the feeding pots to drink at 4pm we have a short walk in the park to see long tailed nightjar, owl and few more forest specialities. 6pm we are back to the hotel.
Tujereng woods and Gunjur Forest.After breakfast our first stop will be Tujereng woods insearch of woodland and shore birds at 1pm break lunch at Gunjur forest along with our sandwiches in the photohide upto 5:30pm then drive backed to our hotel.
Journey to upcountry After breakfast we set all our bags in our car ready to explore the interior of The Gambia were our first stop will be at Farasutu Forest, follow by Pirang Forest and then drive to Bintang bolong lodge with lots of stops on the way before reaching there. we will reach at the lodge at 6pm checked into our rooms prepare for dinner at 8pm.
Breakfast at 7:45am then follow by a drive to Tendaba camp which is our next accommodation, our first stop will be at Killy wood upto 12:30pm then drive to Kampati raptors hotspot were we going to have our sandwiches lunch whilst having lunch we will enjoy Raptors flying over heads. After the lunch break we will explore the raptors woods upto 4pm then drive to Tendaba with few stops on the road before reaching to Tendaba camp for our accommodation.
After breakfast at 8am follow by a boat trip in baobolong wetland for three hours. After boat we will walk to Tendaba photo hide and woods upto 4pm with our pack lunch along. At 4pm we walk backed to the camp prepare for our journey to Morgan kunda lodge through Senegambia bridge to Jajari village with few stop before reaching to the lodge at north bank.
After breakfast we will drive jajari woods insearch of Bustards and woodland birds. At 12am we drive backed to the camp pick our bags drive To kuntaur for a boat trip at River Gambia national park to see chipazee, hippos, monkeys, baboons and some colorful birds. After the boat trip we drive to River side lodge with a ferry crossing at Georgetown. And a night at river side lodge in Bansang town.
Early breakfast at 6pm then set for our journey to Wassadou camp at south east Senegal. upon arrival at Wassadou camp we will checked into our rooms prepare for one and half hour boat trip at Wassadou creek. After the boat trip prepare for dinner at 8pm.
Early breakfast at 6:40am prepare for a safari trip at Niokolokoba national park for whole day in search of mammals and birds and backed to Wassadou camp for accommodation.
After breakfast morning boat trip after the boat trip we do the surrounding of camp before our departure to The Gambia. At 12:30 pm we have lunch in Wassadou at 1pm we drive backed to The Gambia at River side lodge with few stops on the way. Upon arrival in Bansang we will visit red throated bee eaters colony before reaching to the camp.
After breakfast at 6:45am we will drive to Georgetown for a boat trip for half we drive backed to River side lodge for lunch. At 4pm we go back to the colony and the surrounding were we going to complete the rest of the day. and the backed to the lodge
After breakfast we will have quick look around the camp before our departure back to the coast through the south bank road with few stops on the way. A lunch break at Tendaba camp. After lunch drive to marakissa river camp for our accommodation.

Early breakfast at 7:15am in the morning. Drive to Tanji bird reserve upto 12:30pm lunch break at Ocean lounge in tanji,2pm we drive to brufut woods were we going to stay upto 5pm for woodland and forest birds and then back to the hotel.
Today we set our bags start driving to the interior of The Gambia. Were our first stop will be at Farasutu Forest and pirang Forest. This will give us a great opportunity to see more forest specialities a night stop at Bintang bolong lodge for our accommodation. Checked into our rooms prepare for dinner at 8pm.
After breakfast in Bintang bolong we will visit Killy woods photohide for three hours. 12:30pm we drive to Tendaba camp with lots of stops on the way before arriving to our accommodation in Tendaba camp at 6:30pm.
Breakfast follow by a boat trip At Baobolong wetland for three hours before our departure through north bank roads with lots of stops at most birding hotspots.And a night at Bansang River side lodge for a night.
Early breakfast at 7am. At 7:35am we drive to Bansang quarry red throated bee eaters colony 10am we drive to south east Senegal at Wassadou camp. Upon arrival at 4:30pm checked into our rooms prepare for one and half boat trip. Prepare for dinner at 8pm.
Early breakfast at 7am drive to Niokiolokoba park for whole day safari for mammals and birds. 4;30pm we drive backed to Wassadou camp for our accommodation.
Breakfast at 7am follow by one hour boat trip and then do the surrounding of the camp. At 11am we drive backed to The Gambia at kakuba lodge at kudang.checked into our rooms prepare for dinner at 8pm.
After breakfast at 7:30am we drive to kudang wetland and woods upto 11pm then drive backed to the coast with lots of stops at most birding hotspots and then backed to Sarje’s hotel for our accommodation.
Last day in The Gambia departure backed to the airport.

Best Of The Gambia And South East Senegal Experience
We start with an airport transfer to your Hotel at Bamboo Garden hotel at the coastal area of Kololi just 13 kilometres about 30 minutes’ drive from the Airport, on the way you will be introduce to local and common species and more so around your Hotel area too will provide you more wonderful species like Piapiac, Starlings, Lizard Buzzards Hornbills and many more the list can go up 10to 20 species just that short period depending on the time of your arrival we could have some few hours work around the Hotel Garden then back to the Hotel for dinner later in the Evening.
We will start early at 7.15am in the morning after breakfast we will drive to Brufut woods 13 kilometres from your hotel for whole day trip. It will take us 25 minutes drive from the hotel to the community forest where we will walk through the most interesting areas within the forest and its surroundings birding around the woods, later we will converge at a woodland bar area for cold drinks and coffees while attending some of the species coming to the drinking point created for the most exotic species, like Green and Violet Turacos, Grey Headed Bristle bills, Pygmy Kingfishers, yellow Throated Leafloves, Yellow White Eye. in the area the expected species are Long Tailed Nightjars, Klaas’ Cuckoo Diederick Cuckoo, Shikra, Red Necked Falcon, Black Shouldered Kites, White Faced Scoops Owl and many more. At 12;30pm we will proceed further to Tanji Eco lodge at distance of 5 kilometres only 15 minutes’ drive for lunch break by the drinking pool ideal for photographing birds like Sulphur Breasted Bushrike, African Silverbills, western Blue Bills, yellow crowned Gonolek and many more .Lunch break at Ocean lounge Restaurant at Tanji village. After lunch we will then continue to lagoons by the sea via the exterior of the forest looking for Four Banded Sandgrouse, Swallow Tailed Bee Eater, Osprey, Dark Chanting Goshawk, Pied Hornbill and some waders mainly migrants at the Beach side too till late evening we will return back to the Hotel for dinner
Early Morning after Breakfast we depart at 7.30am from the Hotel where our first stop will be at tujereng woods birds seen here are chestnut bellied starling,Brubru,chestnut crowned sparrow weaver,Red winged prinia,Senegal eromomela,eurasian wryneck,African silverbill,allen;s gallinule,purple swamphen,black heron,spotted crake just to name few.1pm we proceed to gunjur forest with our sandwich lunch along upon arrival to the park 1 hour walk in the forest our target here are green crombec,green hylia,coloured sunbird,yellowbill,african goashawk,green headed sunbird.2pm we walk straight to the hide were we going to have our sandwich our target in the hide is western bluebill,grey headed, bristulbill,capacine babbler many more birds are expected to visit the hide.5pm we drive back to the hotel
Today we leaving for four star hotel to Basic lodge here our first stop will be Farasutu forest and Pirang forest.Today we are looking more of forest specialities like spotted,lesser and greater honeyguide,violet and green turaco,orange,lavender and black rumped waxbill,greyish eagle owl,african wood owl,blue rock thrush,yellow breasted apalis,buff spotted woodpecker,green hylia,green crombec,normal leaflove,ahanta francolin,Just to name few and a night stop at Jamoria lodge.
Today before breakfast we will one hour around the surround of Jamoria home for the brown necked parrot,greater painted snipe,green pigeon,woodpeckecker and the back for breakfast.After breakfast we set our bags join our car long day heading up river all the way to Morgan Kunda Lodge for our overnight stay on the North. The journey will Take us the best part of the day till afternoon , we will drive 170 kilometres almost 7 hours with many stops on the way going through South Bank crossing to the Northern Bank. First stop at killy woods for couple of hours then proceed to kampati raptors bridge, several other stops on my key birding areas, Nema Woods along the Soma stretch and Yelli Tenda Farafenyi Woods and wetlands. More stops will off course follow between Farafenyi and Illiassa to see more Northern species like Northern Ant Eater Chat, Seville’s, White Bellied and Black Bellied Bustards, Speckle Fronted Weaver, Chesnutt Crowned Sparrow Weaver, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Rufus Scrub Robin, Sahel and exclamatory Paradise Whydah, Green and Red Winged Pytilias Spotted Thicknee, Long Crested, Brown Snake, Martial and Banded Snake Eagles, Brown Rumped Bunting, Bateleur Eagle and many more. We will continue to the Lodge to check -in on arrival. Later out and about within the premises and off course just at the immediate surroundings will give us more resident species like White Rumped See Eaters, Black Rumped Waxbills Lavender Waxbills Scarlet Chested, Beautiful, Splendid and Pygmy Sun Birds and many more. The Habitats and sites will visit on the way comprises of different landscapes consist of Rice fields, Savannah woodland, Gallery forest with fall Trees, creeks and Wetlands giving a considerable amount of species to spot during the day.
After breakfast at Morgan Kunda Lodge for our second day, The day will start early as 7:30am we first head to Jimmansar Katchan Woods, the area is entirely a vast wood land area consist of savanna woodland, farm lands bordered with rice fields and Wetlands, also some hilly rocky areas with some big trees, the distance is 15 kilometre stretches 15 minutes’ drive along the Baobolong Wetland reserve harbouring good a mount Migrants passaging through from North East Senegal can be pick up around this area, Species like Common Nightingale, Speckled Fronted Weaver, Ruff, Willow Warbler, Melodious Warbler, Chesnutt Bellied Sand Grouse, Seville’s, Black Bellied and White Bellied Bustards, White Fronted Black Chat, Temminck’s Courser, Flapped Clark, Quell Finch. African Hawk Eagle, Bateleur, Bedouin’s Snake Eagle, Brown – Rumped Bunting, Senegal Batis and many more. We will return back to the Lodge for lunch break then later switch towards the other side bordered with Senegal between Jajari and Tallia wood for the rest of the day similar species are expected to see there. We will later retire back to the Lodge for the second night.
Still on the Northern part of The Gambia we depart from the Lodge at 7:30 am after breakfast heading to River Side Lodge for another spectacular birding along the way stretching about 170kilometres journey driving 6 to 7 hours with birding stops on the way quiet frequently allowing us to have various stops at very important birding sites notably, Kaur Wetland, Njau water hole and Wassu sand Pitch, Kuntaur rice fields amongst other sites, we will be expecting species like Red Throated Bee Eaters at their breeding holes, Northern Carmine Bee Eaters depending on the time of the year, Black Crowned Crane, Pin-tailed Whydah, Sahel and Exclamatory Whydah, Cut Throat Finch, Egyptian Plover depending the time of the year, Ruppel’s Griffon Vulture, White Backed Vulture, and many more. Virtually Gambia is known for its similar habitats descriptions, we will experience more hilly sites with rocky areas along the way, savannah woodland and more wetland with fresh water ponds and rice fields along The Gambia river. We will have our sandwich lunch on the way before crossing the Ferry to the Island of Georgetown to River side lodge in Bansang for our night stop.
we will leave early after Breakfast heading again further beyoung Gambia border via Basse to Wassadu Camp in Senegal South Eastern Part the distance covers up to 350 kilometres also driving the whole day almost 7 to 8 hours birding along the way. Visa processing will take place for few minutes then we will cross in to Southern Senegal via Wellingera border point This will take us the whole day birding within this parameters having stops at vital points with our picnic lunch on the way until we reach at Wassadu later Evening for a couple of nights stay . The Camp has to be booked in advance due high demand due to its strategic location over the River Bank. We will driving along the main road having stops at various location consist on grassland, savanna woods, scrubs farmlands and with some tall Trees hilly landscapes and rocky areas, species expected along the way like Little Green Bee Eater, Dark Chanting Goshawk, Bateleur White Headed Vultures, Little Button Quells, White Throated Francolin, White Shouldered Black Tits,Lead collard flycatcher.Upon arrival at the camp we will checked into our rooms.Prepare for one hour boat trip.Birds to see carmine bee eater,white crowned lapwing,pied wagtail,Adamawa turtle dove,African finfoot,sometimes by chance pel;s fishing owl.Dinner will be serve 8pm.
Still at Wassadu during our second day after breakfast boat trip will be conducted in the morning in the River Gambia for maximum three hours then lunch break later embark on the safari tour at the Niokolokoba Park for the rest of the day this park is the biggest and wildest park in the region consist of mix forest from Rain forest to thick and savanna wood lands Gallery forest with very tall trees over the river bank house the most exotic species of birds and wild animals, like Leopards, Lions, Warthogs Antelopes and many more, some rarities like White throated Francolins, Fairy Blue Flycatcher, Saddled Billed Stork, White Headed Plovers, Egyptian Plovers, Hadada Ibis, Colony of Red Throated Bee Eaters, African Finfoots, African Fish Eagles Pell’s Fishing Owl, White Backed Night Herons and Shinning Blue Kingfishers and many more. We will then driver back to the Camp for our second night stay.
Early start as usual from Wassadu heading back to Gambia after breakfast, we will drive back through the same route to the border at Wellingera passport stamp then back in The Gambia, we will have our night stop at Bansang in River Side Lodge in the Town. We will be birding all the way from Wassadou entering in to Gambia making various stops at key birding sites with our picnic lunch under a big tree. species on the this way expected are , Garber Goshawk, Chesnut Backed Sparrow Lark, African Hobby, Splendid Glossy,gosling bunting,red throated bee eater, exclamatory paradise whydah many more are expected to be seen here. We will be experiencing the same landscapes return to on our way back to The Gambia no differences.
The journey will begin still on the South of The Gambia from our Breakfast table we will head on to check out at the Bansang Quarry to the breeding holes of the Red Throated bee Eater’s breeding colony briefly then head on towards kundang village. The distance is 70 kilometres taking us another whole about 2hours journey. This stretch of landscape consist of vast woodlands at both side of the Road with big Trees, Farmlands water hole and valleys, hills and Wetlands plus rice fields along the way giving us the opportunity to see variaties of species in their respective habitats. We will make a stop at Jahally Rice Fields in Sapu, Waterhole, lunch break will be done under the big Tree at a convenient time during the day. Species expect on the way includes Spur Wing Goose, Martial Eagle, White European Griffon Vulture, African Hawk Eagle, Yellow Crown Bishops, Brubru Shrike, Bearded Barbet, and many more are expected to be seen here.Expected time of arriving at Kakuba lodge is 4pm checked into our rooms out again to kundang wetland at 4.30pm for more water birds and woodland species.6pm back lodge.

After breakfast follow by a boat trip to explore baobolong wetland reserve for three hours.After the boat we have three hours walk birding in tendaba woods and hide 1.40pm backed to the camp for lunch.After lunch bit of relax 3.30pm we drive through bateling track then back to the coast.And a night stop at Asamai lodge
Today after break at our lodge we set for kartong sand mining and seaside for more waders and water birds.lunch break at scarla restaurant at 1pm.at 3pm we have a boat trip at alhin river for goliath heron and back to the lodge.

Today after breakfast we heading to south coast of the Gambia which is boadering with south Senegal This will take us and hour drive to kartong.It was once a sand extraction quarry,it’s now comprises of shallow freshwater ponds with reed bed,coastal dunes beaches,patches of woodland and scrub.The focal points is the rich ,shallow freshwater ponds which provide refuges for wide range of waterfowl’s and waders.But there is also good range of woodland birds and raptors while the beach attracts a host of seabirds.Many of which are seasonal migrants like white fronted plover,nest on dune fringe and expected birds here are knob billed duck,spur winged goose,Osprey,marsh harrier,Beaudouin’s snake eagle,long crested eagle,spotted crane,Allen’s gallinule,common moorhen,bar tailed godwit,black tailed godwit,sanderling,Ruff,turnstone,lesser black backed gull,kelp gull,yellow legged gull,slender billed gull,lesser crested tern,African royal teen,common hoopoe,plain backed pipit,Senegal batis,Brubru,Dwarf bittern,pinked and great white pelican.1pm we drive to scarla Restaurant for lunch break after lunch we one hour boat trip at Alhin river what to see are Brown sunbird,Goliath heron,gull and terns.After boat trip we drive back to the hotel
Today our tour focus on Forest specialities.Our first stop will be Farasutu Forest before reaching to Forest we start with the woodland and the later proceed to the forest whilst the sun is hot.After arriving at the forest we will just have relax at water jars in the forest were you can see birds coming drink and with a guided walk inside the forest with one of the park ranger.1pm drive to Pirang forest upon arrival at Pirang forest we will prepare our own made sandwiches for lunch before having walk in the forest.This forest is one of the best gallery forest in the Gambia were you can see owls in there roasting spots.4pm we drive back to the hotel.
Today is just a half day around Sotokoi village we’re going to have early start.were you will be pick up at your hotel at 6am to Jamoria lodge area.Upon arrival just start with birding infront of the lodge our main target here is brown necked parrot,Senegal parrot,fine spotted woodpecker,Bruce’s and African green pigeon,greater painted snipe at 10am we walk to Jamoria lodge for breakfast.after breakfast then we have our target then drive back to the hotel
