About Foday
Foday Bojang is a well-known birding guide in The Gambia. He has been organizing and leading birding and photographing tours since 2005. He was born and raised in Pirang Village which is a well-known birding hotspot for most birders visiting the Gambia. He got a keen interest in birding and wildlife at a young age. His passion and love for nature and birds make him coordinate young youth of his village to do tree planting every year in his own home village PirangForest Park. By planting trees yearly, this kind of gesture is introduced by Mr. Foday to preserve the forest for the next generations to come.
Foday interest in birds and nature made him talk to his partner whom he founded The Gambia Birding Experience to build a photographing hide in the forest, which any income generated from photo hide will be plowed back into the forest to safeguard the premises and most importantly prevent the region from deforestation.
Through his experience in birding and wide knowledge in the field, he was entrusted to handle the position of assistant social secretary of The Gambia Bird Guide Association from 2012 to 2016, then through his merit and dedication, he was promoted to Social Secretary from 2016 to 2022 (an organization that represents the interest of almost all birdwatchers in the Gambia). His hard work and respect for his job grant him this credit.
Moreover, Foday is a Co-Founder of Gambia Birding Experience a ground handler of the Company, and the Operational Manager of Fatou Tours Gambia.
KAWSU GIBBA
Kawsu work as a senior park ranger and birding guide for more thank 12 years. Based at Pirang Bonto forest where he is currently the head Ranger. He is actively involved in the day to day management and preservation of this community based Nature Reserve. Although his birding experience give him opportunities to guide people country wide. He lead tours for Gambia birding experience, Fatou tours Gambia And also doing his own guided tours in the forest to customers who are visiting the forest. His excellent birding knowledge gave him this credit.
FATOU SENGHORE
Fatou Senghore is a member of The bird watcher Association The Gambia,an officially licensed tour guide of the Gambia tourism board and owner and CEO of Fatou Tours Gambia that she founded together with the other welknown Gambian guide FodayBojang,one of the most experienced guide of the country.She is known as a very good(the best) female birding guide of the Gambia.She is always ready to explore the fauna and flora and the best birding site of the country at every end of the season with his team.Her interest for the nature is unbelievable.Gambia is a small country but the birds are all over there,so birding start at the moment you close to door of the lodges.And so she will take you not only to the well known birding places to have closed ups to the birds.She will organize everything for you,from breakfast to picnic lunches an dinners.In the evening at the lodge you can choose what you want to eat.She will order in advance.Traveling will be at the pace you like
